We all know what a sneaker is and what the basic components are but when you have sneaker tips that tell you the right way to take care of your sneakers, you can get a lot more use out of them. If you are like most people that purchase new sneakers at least once a year, you will find that the sneakers start to get a little worn out after a while. This might be due to us using them to get to work or playing in the park, so if you want to keep them in tip top shape then follow these tips to maintain your shoes. One thing to remember is to never throw away your sneakers as you can still wash and clean them without any problems.
The first thing that you should do if you own some type of Nike, DC, Converse or another brand of sneaker is make sure that you have a good sneaker cleaner in your wardrobe. You can use this cleaner on your uppers to ensure that they stay clean and you don’t ruin your shoes from using detergents on them. You should use a soap specifically made for cleaning suede sneakers as this is the type of material that tends to stain easily and has a very bad tendency to leave behind spots.
The next tip is to either get a soft white cotton cloth, preferably one that is made for the purpose of cleaning suede, or use a suede cloth. As long as you have a clean white cotton cloth, you won’t mar the finish of your shoes and you won’t end up with a stained area if you spill something. When you take your suede cloth and dampen it, gently wipe your uppers with the cloth to remove any dust or dirt that might have built up. Then allow them to air dry completely before using your sneakers again.
